Acts 18:12-28 (ESV)
Key Verse: 18:24
First, Paul goes back to Antioch (12-23). Paul stayed in Corinth for about a year and a half. Sometime during that stay the Jews that were there rose up against him and brought him before the proconsul, accusing him of leading the people astray. But the proconsul saw through this and dismissed the case. Thus the vision Paul had seen was true (9-10). After this, Paul left Corinth, sailed through Ephesus-leaving behind Pricilla and Aquila-and arrived back at Antioch, concluding his second missionary journey.
Second, Apollos in Ephesus (24-28). In Ephesus Priscilla and Aquila met Apollos, an eloquent man who was knowledgeable in the Scriptures. But despite all that he already knew, he still had room to grow. Seeing his great potential, Priscilla and Aquila instructed him in the way of God more accurately, teaching him about Christian doctrine, not just the ministry of repentance that came from John the Baptist. As a result, he became a great help to other believers in Achaia, and a powerful witness for Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Lord, let us always grow in our knowledge of you, no matter how much we already know.
One Word: Grow in God's word constantly
1 Chronicles 6:1-81
