2 Chronicles 36:1-14 (ESV)
Key Verse: 36:14
First, Jehoahaz, Jehoiakim, and Jehoiachin (1-10). Pharaoh Necho took Johoahaz prisoner. Egypt imposed heavy levy and appointed Eliakim as king, changing his name to Jehoiakim. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD. Nebuchadnezzar took him captive, so Jehoiachin became king. He also did evil, and was also taken to Babylon. These kings reigned less than 12 years, ruled by Egypt then Babylon.
Prayer: Father, you are patient and kind. Please forgive my rebellious heart and soften my stiff neck.
