Job 27:1-23 (ESV)

Job 27:1-23 (ESV)
Key Verse: 27:6
I hold fast my righteousness and will not let it go;
my heart does not reproach me for any of my days.
First, I will not deny my integrity (1-12). Though the living God denied Job's justice and made his life bitter, Job could not concede to his friends' accusations. He still firmly determined to keep his integrity as one with a clean conscience not to be reproached. He hated to be like the godless who lie or say wicked things and would be cut off from the Lord.
Second, the fate of the wicked (13-23). Job clearly understood what God will allot the wicked. Their children will be cut off however many they might be. Their silver and clothes will be like dust and be given to the innocent. In the twinkling of an eye, terrors will overtake them like a flood and their big houses and wealth will be no more, gone with the wind.
Prayer: Lord, help me to keep my integrity no matter what happens to me! The fate of the wicked will be so terrible and quick though they seem to prosper for a while.
One Word: Keep godly integrity no matter what!
Revelation 18:1-24
