First, don't put any stumbling block in another's way (13-21). We should stop passing judgment on one another. We whose faith is strong are free in eating meat or drinking wine. However others with weak faith may fall because of our strong faith. Then it is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause others to fall. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. We should make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
Second, do everything by faith (22-23). Whatever we believe about these things we should keep between God and ourselves. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves. If we doubt, we should not do it. For everything that does not come from faith is sin.
Prayer: Lord, help us not put any stumbling block in another's way. Help me do everything from faith.
