A Prophecy Against Lying Prophets

Date: Oct. 13, 2018

Passage

Ezekiel 13:1-23

Daily Bread

Key Verse: Ezekiel 13:8

1. Woe to the foolish prophets (1-9)

There were many in Israel who claimed to be prophets, but their visions were their own. They spoke their own imaginations. Their visions were false, and their words were lies. The Lord was against them, and they would come to nothing in Israel.

2. Because they lead my people astray (10-23)

False prophets lead people away from the Lord. But their words can't sustain God's people. The Lord was bringing a storm against the people of Israel. He would wash away those who ensnared people and led them astray. Only the Lord and his words can save lives. His wrath is on all who lead people astray.

Prayer: Prayer: Lord, your word alone can save and give life. Help me to be true to your word and lead others to you.

One Word: A true prophet leads others to God
