Acts 26:24-32 (ESV)
Key Verse: 26:29
First, Paul and Festus (24-27). When Paul spoke of Jesus' resurrection, Festus could not keep silent. He shouted at Paul saying that he was insane. He thought that his great learning had driven him mad. This is the response of unbelief. Paul kept his cool. He calmly replied, "I am not insane, most excellent Festus." Paul spoke only what is reasonable.
Second, Paul evangelizes Agrippa (28-32). Then Paul turned his attention back to King Agrippa. He asked him openly, "King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know you do." Agrippa was offended that Paul was trying to make him a Christian in such a short time. Paul's answer is a prayer: "Short time or long-I pray to God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains." Paul's prayer was that all who hear his message may become Christians. Paul had God's heart that seeks to save all people.
Prayer: Lord, use me to proclaim Jesus and may others become Christians through my witness.
One Word: Have God's heart for the lost!
